Ladies First! The women will start the race at 3 pm on Sunday, May 5. The men will follow 2 minutes later.
The USATF Certified course starts on Fayetteville Street, circles the Capitol, and continues through the scenic streets of Downtown.
REGISTER by April 28 to be guaranteed a race shirt. Shirts may not be available for those who register after April 28.
Your race registration includes admission to the great post-race party at City Plaza featuring live music by DJ Paul Fitts.
Your first beer is included in the registration fee for the 5K race or Stretch for participants age 21+.
Bring your photo ID and some cash to the party - beer is only served or sold to individuals age 21+.
There will be food vendors at the finish party.
Proceeds from the Southern 5K Classic benefit the Interfaith Food Shuttle.
The Interfaith Food Shuttle has served our community for more than 20 years by providing food security for children, adults, families and the elderly. IFFS teaches, grows, prepares, cooks & delivers healthy, nutritious food to people experiencing food hardship. They currently serve Wake, Durham, Edgecombe, Chatham, Orange, Nash, and Johnston counties.
